Volvic Natural Spring Water originates in the small town of Volvic in the Auvergne region of France. Volvic is bottled exclusively at its unique source, the Clairvic Spring, and is available in more than 60 countries worldwide.

The basin supplying the Volvic spring source is located in the Regional Park of the Old Auvergne Volcanoes. This volcanic region has been dormant for 10,000 years. The name Volvic refers to the town as well as a type of gray volcanic rock natural to the area.

Q2:

The aquifer from which Volvic Natural Spring Water is collected was discovered in 1927.

Volvic Natural Spring Water is tested at the bottling plant in France several hundred times per day to confirm that the water being bottled is identical to the water as existing at the natural source. This testing ensures Volvic's natural purity and constant mineral composition, as well as the absence of contamination. In addition, the Volvic source itself is tested regularly to ensure its continued integrity and stability.

In 1965, the French Ministry of Health authorized the bottling of Volvic Natural Spring Water.

In addition to existing stringent regulatory standards of the government, the International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) maintains a strict model code of quality requirements for its members. Volvic meets or exceeds the quality requirements of the model code of the IBWA in all aspects.
